Subjects: Science and Health in the Mt. Elbert Core

Bio: Graduated from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington in 1978. Started teaching in Yakima, Washington in the community where I grew up. I taught for ten years in Washington State prior to moving to the Denver area. My first opportunity here was teaching at Columbia Middle School in Aurora where I taught for eight years. Because my children attend Littleton Schools, I made the decision to teach at Euclid where I have been happy for the last nine years.

Role: 6th grade Language Arts teacher

Core: Mt. Elbert

Bio: This is my 12th year teaching and my 3rd year at Euclid. I began my career at Evergreen Middle School in Jefferson County. From there I went on to teach young men and boys in the Colorado Youthful Offenders System. Later, I moved on to teach in Englewood at Sinclair Middle School. Of the four places I have had the opportunity to teach, Euclid is by far my FAVORITE!

I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and exercising.  I am currently working on a Master's degree in reading and am enjoying learning even more ways to educate children.  I have three amazing children (Kelli - 9, Darren -6, and Trevor -3), a wonderful husband of 12 years, two dogs (Bailey and Shadow), and four fish (we didn't name this batch ).
