Special NOTE:

A special thanks to all parents who donated items for the chicken mummification project. We received a generous donation of chickens from Mrs. Coy who provided a case of fresh chickens, a case of salt, and several other items. In addition, many of you have been very helpful by sending in plastic gloves, paper towel, spices, and gauze. We are going to have enough of these items now. Thank you so very much for your support with this project!

Because the semester is fast coming to a close, and the busy holiday season is upon us, I will not be assigning an at-home construction project during the Egypt unit. Instead, I will assign a project in conjunction with the Greece/Rome unit when we get to that content. However, since some students were exceedingly eager to do a project on Egypt, they may ask special permission to do a project depicting the Egyptian culture in lieu of the Greece-Rome project. We are not able to find the time and space for the Egyptian Museum at this time, but you will be invited to see the Greece-Rome/Egypt projects when they are assigned in the spring.

Mrs. Raleigh
