Education: BA from Central College in Pella, Iowa in Elementary Education and MA from University of Northern Colorado in Educational Leadership

Bio: I was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and then attended Central College in Pella, Iowa. I taught 5th grade in Pella for 3 years before moving to Colorado in 2004. In my spare time I love to be outside in the mountains, training for triathlons, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my friends and family. I love teaching math and science at the middle school level, especially as a part of the Euclid community.

 Rebecca Raleigh Minimize

Subjects: Language Arts

Education: BA from University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, 1986

Bio: A native of Michigan, I moved to Colorado in 1981. I began my teaching career in Colorado Springs, serving in the Harrison and Academy School Districts before coming to Littleton in 1989. I taught 5th grade at Walt Whitman Elementary for five years and then relocated to Kansas City, Missouri, where I was employed as a curriculum editor. In 1998, I returned to Littleton and taught intermediate grades at Franklin Elementary. Later, I taught sixth grade for two years at Northeast Elementary in Douglas County. This is my fifth year in Route 66 at Euclid Middle School.

In my spare time, I enjoy scrapbooking, freelance writing, and facilitating adult classes on various topics. I have two married sons, David and James. One family resides in Warner Robins, Georgia. The other family has recently moved to Denver.

 Derek Richardson Minimize

Role: 6th Grade Science and Social Studies.

Education: BS in Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In the process  of obtaining a Masters Degree.

Bio: Derek is new to the Denver Metro area. He and his wife moved to Denver in July of ’07 from eastern Nebraska where he taught for 4 years after graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In his spare time he enjoys watching football, playing golf and fishing. Even though he considers himself ‘new’ to the area, his wife is not new. She graduated from Littleton High School in 1998. Derek welcomes his new experiences and challenges that he faces as he moves to Denver and begins teaching at Euclid Middle School.
