 Liza Farnham Minimize

Subjects: Social Studies and TEAM for the SuperStar core.

Education: B.A. in Middle School Education from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley and Master's Degree in Reading from Grand Canyon University, AZ.

This will be my seventeenth year of teaching middle school. I have taught all grades and all core subjects. I have taught at six different middle schools and Euclid is definitely my favorite!

Biography: When I am not at school, I spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy traveling, playing card and board games, and reading mystery books. I also talk about and show pictures of my niece, Kate, who is now two years old and so much fun. Because I am close to many of my girlfriends, I am also "Aunt Liza" to all of their children and attend as many of their activities as I can. I am known for having an extremely loud laugh, which you may hear if you visit Euclid this year.

Subjects: Science and Health in the Superstars Core

Bio: Graduated from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington in 1978. Started teaching in Yakima, Washington in the community where I grew up. I taught for ten years in Washington State prior to moving to the Denver area. My first opportunity here was teaching at Columbia Middle School in Aurora where I taught for eight years. Because my children attend Littleton Schools, I made the decision to teach at Euclid where I have been happy for the last nine years.

 Kathy Potter Minimize

Subjects: Math and Social Studies.

Education: BS in special education from University of Utah and a Masters in Educational Leadership from UNC.

Bio: I have taught since 1979 in grades from 2nd to 8th. I started out in special education but decided I wanted to be in the classroom with all different levels of students. I liked having my own class and being responsible for their individual learning. Math, by far, is my favorite subject to teach. The patterns in math lead to such great discoveries. My goal is to continue learning different techniques and strategies to help student master the variety of concepts in math. When a child finally masters a difficult concept and is so excited and proud, I know I have done my job well, and I feel a great satisfaction.
