 Gary Hein - PrincipalMinimize

Role: Principal

Education: Iowa State University: Bachelor of Science

Colorado Christian University: Master of Arts in Counseling

University of Denver: Principal Licensure Program

Bio: I came to Euclid Middle School as the principal in August 2002. I started in middle school administration 7 years earlier. For many of those years I worked at Newton Middle School in LPS and for one year I worked in Douglas County. I value the quality of education in LPS both as a principal and as a parent. My wife and I have 2 children who attend Sandburg Elementary School. One of the rewarding job experiences in my eclectic career is working at the American School of Zagreb in Yugoslavia. This position of working with the students, staff and parents of the Euclid community is one of the most fulfilling jobs of my life. I consider this leadership role an honor and a privilege as I care for the hearts and minds of the next generation.

 Jodi Elkins - Assistant PrincipalMinimize

 Role: Assistant Principal

Hello!

My name is Jodi Elkins and I am very excited to be a part of Euclid!

Professionally, I have earned a degree in Business Administration with a Marketing emphasis from UNC (1990), a Business Ed/Computer teaching license from Metro State (1992), vocational credential from CSU (1995), Masters in counseling from University of Phoenix (1997) and my principal license also from UOP (2005).  As you can see I am a life-long learner.

I have been a middle school educator since 1993 in colorful Colorado.  I worked at Elizabeth Middle School for 10 years. I was a computer teacher first and then a school counselor.  I then moved over to Douglas County School District where I spent three years.  I was a counselor for two of the years and the third year I was a Dean/Admin Intern.

Personally, I am blessed with a wonderful family. My husband, also Jody, and I have been married for 12 years. We have two amazing children. Jacob is the sweetest red-headed eight-year-old you will ever meet and Jessie is seven and has the most contagious fun energy that is visible in her smile.  I also have a 20-year-old stepson who is in his second year of college.

I cherish and respect collaboration and partnerships that can be developed with parents, students and colleagues.
